I have to say, if you shoot weddings long enough, you run into difficult brides… that is not at all the case for me. I’ve somehow managed to avoid bridezillas my entire 10ish years of shooting weddings. I get awesome, wonderful, incredible couples. I really do. Not exaggerating even one bit. Elizabeth & Jeff are the perfect example. When brainstorming for engagement locations, they came up with the Soulard Farmers Market because it would offer color and a little something different. Come on! How can you not love that kind of thinking!?! And their wedding was just as fantastic. They are two easy going people, who compliment each other SO well and they love their family & friends as mush as they are loved by them. It was really a great day. This too was part of my submission for the St. Louis Wedding Award in February.

Elizabeth & Jeff – Married!
Kate & Nick – married!
My apologies for falling off the blogging wagon last year. I’m back and ready to catch up! First up is the lovely summer wedding of Kate & Nick… married at First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood with reception at The Edge of Webster.
My current favorite dress photo.

*Love* the shoes.

This is exactly how I was when getting my own veil attached. (Big surprise, right?)

The veil was worn by Kate’s mom and has been worn by other family members. And it’s stunning.

Nice moment with dad. These two, cut from the same cloth, I think they were both trying to tell the other they weren’t nervous.
Kate parents were also married at Kirkwood Presbyterian and have a very similar photo.
One of my favorite things at all the weddings I shoot is seeing the day through the eyes of the couple’s parents. Could Kate’s dad (Mike) be any happier?! Such a great moment.

Kate & Nick – thank you so much for sharing your day with me! I can not wait to meet the bambino!
Just one last shot. I absolutely love that I get to record moments like these for people (in this case, Nick’s parents).
Susan & Ryan – married!
Somewhere in the rush that was Thanksgiving to Christmas, I neglected to blog one of my favorite weddings of last year. Forgive me for such tardiness! Susan & Ryan were married last November at the lovely Chandler Hill Winery in Defiance, MO. First, some lovely details…..
Gorgeous flowers by Belli Fiori. By the way, if you ever, ever need flowers, call Lisa at Belli Fiori. I’ve worked with her on several weddings and have always enjoyed the experience. And obviously, her work is beautiful. And I have another wedding with her this year, yay me!
Speaking of gorgeous, meet Susan….
And Ryan, he’s not too bad either.
Great setting, great light, fabulous couple. (sigh)
And great friends.
I love, love, love this shot. My favorite, hands down.
Their ceremony was officiated by Carolyn Burke (the Wedding Liaison).
Who doesn’t love peacock feathers? Seriously. Beautiful.
And her purse! Fabulous!
Their rings are hanging by a ribbon from a chandelier for this one. Fun, huh?
Susan & Ryan! Thank you so much for sharing your day with me! I can’t wait to show you your album! Best, Beckie
Mark & Isabella
Jennifer & Deric – round 2!
More images from the beautiful wedding of Jennifer & Deric at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Belleville.
Gorgeous flowers.
I have shot at some of the most breath-taking churches this year. Stunning.
Mr & Mrs!
Beautiful.
Jennifer & Deric – your day was incredible, thank you for sharing it with me! Best, Beckie
Phyllis & Stan – married!
Phyllis & Stan – talk about good people, they’re just really great. I adore them. Phyllis is a teacher (who doesn’t love a teacher?) and Stan is an entrepreneur — LOVE him. They had a beautiful wedding & reception at the 9th Street Abbey.
While the women got ready…..
the men caught up on their current events. Nice.
I SOOOO wish I had a photo of me & my daughter like this. So sweet.
9th Street Abbey.
Portraits in Soulard.
I love watching people interact. My favorite.
And I love, love, LOVE a good toast.
Makes you wanna cuddle, doesn’t it? Uh huh.
Phyllis & Stan! Thank you so much for sharing your day! It was fabulous and I can’t wait to build your album! Best, Beckie
Katie & Tony – married!
Two posts in one day, I know, I’m crazy. Another sneak peak. Katie & Tony were married last weekend at St. Anthony Padua with reception at the lovely Chase Park Plaza.
First, meet Katie, she’s a doll…..
and Tony, not too bad either.
If these two look like fun, it’s because they are. Way fun.
Beautiful dress.
A little pre-wedding prayer / pep talk never hurts.
St. Anthony Padua.
Mr. & Mrs.!
Just two from the reception for now. It was absolutely off-the-hook! As for these photos, sorry to say, that’s not the real Kenny Chesney, but an incredible impersonator that Katie’s sister hired (out of Knoxville, TN no less). Laurie, you’ve earned Sister of the Year, hands down. Well done girl.
I love this last photo. Who ever you are in the bottom left using your flash; thank you.
Katie & Tony, thank you for sharing your day! It was incredible and I can’t wait to show you more! Best, Beckie
Mary & Martin – married!
A sneak peak at the wedding day of Mary & Martin! More to come this week, as I am up to my eyeballs in editing! Enjoy these for now! Mary & Martin, thank you for sharing your day with me! It was awesome and you two are an adorable couple! (Sorry about all the exclamations, but I really do mean to use them.) Best, Beckie
They got ready in a room with a dividing wall.
A big AND beautiful church. St. Agatha in the city.
Seriously, how cute are these people?
