Isabella & Mark!

Had such a great time on The Hill tonight with Isabella & Mark. They’re to be wed next Spring and they are just too cute! They are truly two peas in a pod; Mark couldn’t be happier than when she’s by his side. Seriously. How sweet is that? 

And yes, you read correctly – I shot this tonight… just 6 hours ago. I think this turn-around is a record for me. So on to the photos!

For as much as he adores her, she totally adores him! It’s just too sweet!

Kelly & Steve – engaged!

What a great couple. Kelly & Steve are getting married in September. We shot early this morning in an attempt to avoid the heat, didn’t really work but still we persevered. And our reward was fabulous photos! (and paninis – thanks guys!) Enjoy these photos!

This was Steve’s one request. He’s always thought this stainless steel tree was cool. And he’s right.

Melanie & Tom engaged!

Francis & Tony engaged!

Today I shot engagement portraits of Francis & Tony. They’re getting married at the Cathedral Basilica in October. They live in New York but Tony is from Chicago and Francis is from STL. In fact, Francis’ parents live just up the street from me – small world! So we met today and had some fun at Laumeier Sculpture Park. I’ve shot at Laumeier several times but never at the locations you are about to see. That’s one of my favorite challenges; shooting multiple clients at the same location but still making each client’s images look unique. Does that make sense? It does to me. Anyway, enjoy these images. We shot in several areas of the park, the birdcage graveyard was my favorite.

Of course I couldn’t resist the red.

Erin & Matt engaged!

This evening I shot Erin & Matt’s engagement photos. These two are so kind and clearly so in to each other. Matt absolutely adores Erin and Erin obviously loves Matt, seeing them interact was really fun – and I got photos! Enjoy these, I’ll try to keep my comments brief…

Stephanie & Eric

Stephanie & Eric are getting married in June at Peace Lutheran, which happens to be the church at which I shot my first wedding. I’m looking forward to seeing the church again, maybe I’ll even dig up an old negative from that first wedding. Anyway, back to Stephanie & Eric. They’re fabulous! Truly they are, I love the way they interact with each other. 

And they have a dog! His name is Oscar.

He really is quite harmless.

Lighting fast mini-post!

I have an engagement session this morning and then photographed a family just before lunch. I’ve got just a few (very few) images to post now and will do proper, separate posts tonight. 

First are the lovebirds: Stephanie & Eric. They’re getting married in June.

Next we have the Nieders family. Mom (Lindsey) is sister to Michael, a groom from last fall. The kids are way too cute. First we have big brother Carson…

And little sister Olivia.

Meet Rocky…

His owners, Tina & Wayne, are getting married — NEXT weekend. Clearly it is never too late to shoot your engagement portraits! At least not in my world.

BTW – My brother’s restaurant, Andrew’s French Quarter, is catering this wedding. [Thanks for the referral Andy!] The wedding is at Chimney Rock in Imperial and I’m really looking forward to shooting there – I’ve seen photos, it’s beautiful.

For this session, we went to Bee Tree park. Bee Tree has special meaning to Tina individually and Tina & Wayne so I thought it was the perfect place for photos. Clients often ask me where I like to shoot engagements and I always tell them “where ever you enjoy being” because, truthfully, any place you feel connected to can be a great location.

Sarah & Brian – Engaged

Sorry to have gotten a bit behind on blogging! I’ve got several shoots to post! First up is Sarah & Brian. I met them through Denny, he knows Sarah’s super-creative dad, Rick. Sarah & Brian live in Sacramento. They’re planning a really fun wedding for August! Looking forward to it guys – see you then!
