Joey, Curtis & Lexi!

I ended my Saturday marathon with an adventure-filled session with the McKenney family. Mom / Lorrie is a great friend of mine so I’ve photographed this family for years. Below are just a few images, consider this a mini-post with more to come.

Joey – growing up and I’m SO not ready for it!

And Lexi – love, love, LOVE that smile.

I think somebody might be a Daddy’s girl… and I think somebody ELSE might be totally hooked, but I’m not naming names! I’ll post the entire family soon, very soon… I promise! Stephanie & Eric

Stephanie & Eric are getting married in June at Peace Lutheran, which happens to be the church at which I shot my first wedding. I’m looking forward to seeing the church again, maybe I’ll even dig up an old negative from that first wedding. Anyway, back to Stephanie & Eric. They’re fabulous! Truly they are, I love the way they interact with each other. 

And they have a dog! His name is Oscar.

He really is quite harmless.

Lighting fast mini-post!

I have an engagement session this morning and then photographed a family just before lunch. I’ve got just a few (very few) images to post now and will do proper, separate posts tonight. 

First are the lovebirds: Stephanie & Eric. They’re getting married in June.

Next we have the Nieders family. Mom (Lindsey) is sister to Michael, a groom from last fall. The kids are way too cute. First we have big brother Carson…

And little sister Olivia.

Alaina = Mathematician Goddess

Today I photographed Alaina’s senior pictures. Alaina is a very smart, field hockey-playin’, future Northwestern student. We had a great time. 

Did I mention she plays the piano? Brains, beauty, AND talent… well done mom & dad!

I think this one (above) is my favorite, so far.

Blue is definitely her color. No question. Alaina and Carrie (mom) thanks for your time, I think we got some great stuff and can’t wait for our viewing session! Best, ie

John’s Business portrait

I met with a friend & colleague this morning. John’s business card has a several (SEVERAL) years-old portrait on it, so I made him sit for a quick session. 

I like the black background but also wanted a brighter option…

More Zac!

Okay, just a few more photos of Zac. I think the first & last indicate a future in politics. He’s really not this serious all the time. He’s also a huge Star Wars fan, and his mom has never seen ANY of the Star Wars movies – ANY! He’s on a mission to change that, don’t worry. Enjoy and have a great day! Meet Zac… he’s making his First Communion with Big Jane. This morning I met him, his super cute sister Claire, his Mom & Grandpa at the Cathedral for a few pictures.

I think this one (below) is my favorite. Look at that sweet face…

And as you know, when a sibling tags along…

Zac was a good sport; very tolerant of my often-used “Just one more.” line. He has a lot of good “senator” looks too. Which his mom prefers over the typical “say cheese” expressions. I love these colors. The corks are from the restaurant, they’ve kept every cork they’ve popped.

For those of you who know the restaurant… we opened the outside dining room doors to light these shots. As we were shooting, people running, biking and driving by would holler / whistle to Andy. It was funny.
