Wade Family

Yesterday I photographed the Wade family. I first met the Wades in September for Michael & Heather’s wedding. Soon after, Michael’s mom (Becky with a Y) asked me to photograph their *new* immediate family. Below is my favorite of each location and just a few of Lindsey and Olivia.

Ok, left to right we have Carson (4), Lindsey, her husband Dax is standing, Olivia (2) in sitting with Dave, then Becky with a Y, then Michael and Heather. Aren’t they a great looking family? I think so.

One more of the whole group. I love Olivia’s outfit!

Such a sweet moment. Naturally the kids wore down…

dsc_4535bBut after a little cuddle-time with mom, Olivia was happy as a clam! Thanks for sharing your time with me guys! I know it’s precious with Michael & Heather being out of town. Have a great New Year! Best, ie

Brak’s Special Day!

I’m a bit behind on blogging, so sorry! Just before the holidays my 06.07.08 bridal clients, Jim & Missy, asked me to photograph the adoption of their son Brak. As cheesy as it sounds (and I know it does) it was a huge honor to be asked to document such an incredible event for someone. I’ve loved this family since I met them, so to be present for this day was really special for me. Enjoy the photos. Congratulations Missy, Jim & Brak. I know 08 was a huge year for you and 09 will be even better!

Of course Missy brought balloons, she’s festive like that. ;)

Brak was his usual goofy self.

Just as the judge was about to make his ruling…

And the new family.

Andy’s Gingerbread House

Just a *few* (ok, more like 10) photos of a house Andy just “built.” I love the details; such creativity! If this does not get you in the holiday spirit, it’ll at least make you hungry. Everything is edible except the trees and a few “nails” that he used to secure the building.

It’s a cozy little two (or is that 3?) story with a wood-burning fireplace that goes through the entire house. Front porch offers plenty of room for rocking chairs…. in warmer weather of course. Note the lovely landscaping… you can tell the owner takes pride in his home. ;)

This house is more decorated than MY house!

dsc_3963b1

Front steps and one snowman. What’s really funny is that I just realized that when we were kids, we wrapped red ribbon around the columns at my parent’s house… wonder if that’s where Andy got the idea!

The wreath even has details!

I just like the framing of this photo.

Andy making it “snow” a bit more.

He baked all the shingles and siding pieces separately – such a master of detail.

And of course, he’s got a Christmas tree inside. There’s also a table for two and a couch (with pillow).

dsc_4052bIf you look closely, you can see the inside details. Yellow couch with blue pillow on the left, fireplace (with logs & flame) in the center and the table (set for two) and chairs are to the right. And yes, for those wondering, Andy did consider becoming an architect before choosing the life of a chef. Nice to see that he’s found a way to combine his talents.
